Rivebend Humane Society our Dogs

Oct 27 2011 Published by under News

These are just a few of the wonderful dogs waiting at the shelter for just the right family to give them a home.

Casey

This two-year-old, lab and beagle mix is as sweet as she is cute. Casey is spayed, micro-chipped and up to date with all of her shots. She loves people and other animals.

Queeny

Queeny is quick to make friends with dogs and people. She is a five-year-old beagle. She has been spayed, micro-chipped and given all of her shots. She would make a great addition to a loving family.

Carly

Carly has lots of love in her heart. She jumped at the chance to play surrogate mother to orphaned puppies that came to the shelter. She is a one-year-old shorthaired border collie mix. She is spayed, micro-chipped and up to date with all of her shots. Carly is blind in her right eye, but it doesn’t bother her at all. She deserves a devoted family to call her own.

April

Grab her leash, because April loves to go for walks. She is a two-year-old chow and shepherd mix full of energy and spirit. She has been spayed, micro-chipped and given all of her shots. April’s frisky attitude would fit right into an active family’s lifestyle. She would love to spend a day at the park.

Rivebend Humane Society Adoption Regulations

Oct 27 2011 Published by under News

The dogs and cats at the Riverbend Animal Shelter have had enough sadness in their lives. They may have been neglected, abandoned or separated from people who could no longer care for them. They deserve a loving home where they will be safe and receive the best health care. The adoption regulations below were planned to insure that prospective adopters can meet the needs of their pet.

FOR BOTH DOGS AND CATS – The adopted animals receive healthy food, water, adequate exercise and professional veterinary care including annual checkups and inoculations.

FOR CATS AND KITTENS – Prospective adopters agree to keep cats and kittens in their homes rather than allowing them to go outside.

FOR DOGS AND PUPPIES – In most cases dogs or puppies must be kept in a fenced yard when outside rather than being chained, tied or allowed to run loose. Dogs who live outdoors must have an insulated dog house.

Can you meet these requirements? Wonderful! You’re ready to start on one of life’s great adventures: adopting an animal who needs a home.

The Hope for Animals Resale Shop and Grooming Parlor in Wood River raise funds to keep the shelter running. The Riverbend Humane Society is supported entirely by funds from the resale shop and grooming parlor, donations, and grants.
